Oil spills identification models were presented at the IEEE conference

Our department continues to actively work on environmental problems! At the IEEE IS International Conferences on Intelligent Systems, Yevhenii Saliy, a student of the MMDA department, presented the results of a study devoted to the pre-processing of radar data for the detection of oil slicks in the Mediterranean Sea.

This research was carried out as part of the international project of the Horizon Europe iMermaid European program, which is aimed at protecting and preserving marine ecosystems.

The project team makes an important contribution to the fight against environmental threats with the help of modern technologies and artificial intelligence. Congratulations on a successful presentation!
