In the new issue of the newspaper, we talked about our department, projects, achievements and our students, in particular:
• Sofia Drozd, a master’s student of our department, as part of the delegation from the European Union, successfully presented Europe and KPI named after Igor Sikorsky at the ministerial summit with the participation of more than 150 countries of the world and the GEO Week 2023 international conference in Cape Town (Republic of South Africa).
In addition to the first ever GEO youth declaration “FIRST GEO YOUTH DECLARATION”, Sofia presented the results of research carried out at the department related to the application of machine learning to monitor land cover and land use changes in Ukraine. However, the demonstration of the department’s achievements was not limited to this.
• We also talked about Mykola Lavreniuk, a graduate of our department and the first PhD candidate at KPI. We remind you that Mykola was recognized as one of the 20 best young scientists by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2023. And we will not get tired of talking about it!
