Recently, on November 30, the team, which included students of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis of the Institute of Physics and Technology «KPI», a student of the Technical Lyceum of NTUU «KPI» and employees of the Institute of Space Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the SCA of Ukraine, took part in the first SPACETECH EUROPE Online Hackathon conference.
The conference included the presentation of their ideas, so a member of the team, Georgy Bilostenko, made a presentation of the concept of the developed product. The idea is to develop a service for analyzing and forecasting the cost of housing based on satellite data on the environmental situation, infrastructure and pace of urban development. The result of the project will make the process of choosing housing easy and enjoyable.
The purpose of participation in the competition is to get acquainted with the subject area, gain experience of teamwork and a project in the portfolio (or work for a diploma), compare yourself with other teams from different countries and generally assess whether you like this activity. The team leader is Mykhailo Yemelyanov, a first-class ICD engineer and KAU student, and supported by advice and guidance from Professor Nataliia Kussul and our graduate, Leonid Shumilo, who is currently a graduate student at the University of Maryland.
