The Department held a meeting within the framework of the international scientific seminar “Data, Intelligence and Algorithms” in a remote format.
The report “Deep Learning for satellite monitoring” was made by Leonid Shumilo, a graduate student of the Department of MMAD, a graduate student of the University of Maryland, a specialist in deep neural networks and satellite data. Leonid told about the algorithms used for data analysis.
The participants of the seminar discussed deep learning models for satellite monitoring tasks, which will be the starting point for research under the #HorizonEurope SWIFTT project.
This topic is the focus of the new #HorizonEurope project “Satellites for Wildlife Inspection and Forest Threat Tracking” (SWIFTT), whose participants are scientists of the Institute of Space Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and teachers and students of the department.
