Today, on November 28, our masters Salii Yevhenii and Kuzin Volodymyr presented their work at the final scientific and practical conference of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers on artificial intelligence!
The guys proposed to use intelligent methods of feature engineering and artificial intelligence to solve the problem of semantic segmentation of forest conditions using satellite data. The work was carried out as part of the Horizon Europe project “Satellites for Wilderness Inspection and Forest Threat Tracking”. The paper can be found here.
The aim of the competition is to intensify the research work of students, stimulate interest in science and technology among young people, and help solve problems and practical tasks in the field of artificial intelligence. This year the competition is held in Ukraine for the first time!
A total of 20 student papers are presented at the conference, and the results of the competition will be announced tomorrow! We wish Yevhenii, Volodymyr and their supervisor Alla Lavreniuk success and victory!
