We are glad to share details about the online workshop of the MMAD department on the topic “Data, Intelligence and Algorithms”, which took place on March 21. Topic – “Methods of geospatial statistics for estimating economic indicators using satellite intelligence models.”
Speakers were:
Dr. Serhii Skakun – a well-known specialist in the field of geoinformatics, head of numerous NASA projects, professor at the University of Maryland, graduate of the Institute of Technical Research, NTUU “KPI named after Igor Sikorsky”
Leonid Shumilo – graduate student of the University of Maryland, specialist in working with deep neural networks and satellite data, graduate of IPT, NTUU “Igor Sikorsky KPI”
The speakers shared their expert knowledge in the field of geospatial statistics, talked about the nuances of statistical analysis in this area and provided illustrative materials for a better understanding of the topic.
