Sofia Drozd, a 1st-year master’s student at the MMDA department, presented at the 2nd stage of the international competition of student scientific works “Black Sea Science 2024” with the work “Automated Detection and Assessment of War-Induced Damage to Agricultural Fields Using Satellite Imagery”, where she demonstrated her work. Sofia used machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis to identify bomb-damaged agricultural areas from free satellite data.
We look forward to the results of the jury’s work, which will be announced tomorrow, March 27, 2024, and we wish Sofia and her scientific supervisors success!
