A round table on “AI for Education” was held

On April 2, 2025, the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis (MMAD) held a round table discussion titled “AI for Education.” The event brought together faculty members and master’s students—winners of hackathons focused on artificial intelligence in education.

The discussion centered around the effective integration of AI in the educational process. Participants emphasized the importance of step-by-step assignment evaluation, peer assessment elements, and competitive tasks. A methodology was proposed for creating more creative assignments that encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of the material. Students noted that the department’s instructors successfully incorporate tasks that require the use of AI to enhance code and work with large models.

The need to develop a clear policy on AI usage was also discussed, based on the official policy for the use of artificial intelligence in academic activities at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (approved by the order dated December 29, 2023, No. НОН/393/2023). Additionally, the importance of fostering a critical approach among students toward these technologies was highlighted.

We sincerely thank all participants who shared their thoughts and suggestions for improving our educational programs and the learning process as a whole.
