The international Advanced Research Workshop “Science for the Recovery of Ukraine” was held

On February 3–5, 2026, NTUU KPI, together with the University of Maryland (UMD), co-organized the international workshop Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) “Science for the Recovery of Ukraine” in Strasbourg, which brought together leading scientists and experts to discuss advanced technologies and their role in the recovery and development of Ukraine.

During the workshop, the results of KPI’s research and participation in international projects in the following areas were presented:

– satellite intelligence and Earth observation
– autonomous navigation and drone development
– cybersecurity
– agent-based artificial intelligence

Special attention was paid to joint projects of KPI with the University of Maryland, as well as research implemented with the support of the US National Science Foundation, the Swiss National Science Foundation and within the framework of the Horizon Europe program.

The workshop was attended by:

— Postgraduate Student of the Department of MMDA Sofia Drozd

During the discussions, the following topics were discussed:

– world-class scientific results of the KPI team
– prospects for further research
– development of the KPI space program and interdisciplinary initiatives

Such events contribute to strengthening international cooperation, development of high-tech research and formation of new opportunities for the scientific community of NTUU KPI, and especially for the Department of MMDA ER IPT
