Kyiv Polytechnic student Sofia Drozd spoke at the 2021 IEEE 5th International Conference on Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Radio Electronics (UkrMiCo) with a presentation on “Crop Yield Forecasting for Major Crops in Ukraine”, also authored by Andriy Shelestov, Leonid Shumilo and Hanna Yaylimova.
The conference is organized by NTUU «KPI» and takes place from November 29 to December 3.
Sofia presented a regression model for forecasting yields in the Kyiv region, which is based on vegetation indices obtained from satellites. The aim is to assess the reliability of the obtained model, so, based on the analysis of the work performed, the conclusion confirms the feasibility and effectiveness of satellite data used in this area.
Studying is cool, we wish more interest to our students!
