Professor of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis Andriy Shelestov with his students Ph.D. Bohdan Yaylymov and KAU master’s student Oleksandr Parkhomchuk presented the report «Geospatial analysis of leased lands in Ukraine» at the IEEE 5th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies (UkrMiCo 2021).
The areas of leased fields in the Kyiv region have been determined on the basis of satellite data using geospatial intelligence methods. Validation of the results according to the geocadastre confirmed the high accuracy of the object classification of agricultural fields.
With the opening of the land market, monitoring of land relations and real land use in Ukraine is becoming increasingly important. Earth observation from space and data mining can provide additional capabilities and tools for analyzing and predicting earth productivity.
