In the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», the achievements of the researchers for 2017-2021 were analyzed. The 6 most prestigious publications include a paper by Prof. A. Yu. Shelestov (MMDA Department) et al. It was published in “Remote Sensing of Environment” journal (Elsevier) which belongs to the top 1% according to the CiteScore metric.
For the last 5 years, the scientists of «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» have published 4257 papers in the editions included to the Scopus international scientometric database. This is ~550 publications more than in the five-year period 2016-2020. Among them, 846 papers (29.7%) were published in prestigious international editions of the first and second quarters (Q1 – 410; Q2 – 436) and are cited by the scientists from 127 countries. Also, 120 papers more, in comparison with the previous period, were published in the editions belonging to Q1 and Q2.
Such results are very positive for the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», as the publications of the last 5 years will affect the dynamics of the university in world rankings, in particular, The Webometrics Rank, QS World University Rankings, THE (Times Higher Education).
