On March 16, 2021 the team of the department had meeting with 11th graduates of the Natural Science Lyceum № 145. The first speaker was Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Nataliia Kussul, who spoke about the basic principles of MMAD Department , why it is important to get a basic education and study by means of real international projects.
The next speaker was Leonid Shumilo, the graduate student of the Institute of Physics and Technology in 2020. He told about his path from an entrant to an advanced Data Scientist, on his own example showed how you can gradually build your career, if you choose a strong supervisor. Interesting fact: Leonid befor his 21st anniversary had visited all the famous space agencies in the world! And this is due to hard work and a well-chosen field of study.
At one time, our colleague, Hanna Yailymova, a graduate student, who is defending her dissertation in the specialty 113 Applied Mathematics, also studied at Lyceum 145. She also took part in the event, where she shared her experience in choosing an educational institution, specialty and department with school graduates, where they will spend the next 6 years of their lives, and that this should be a trampling for further professional growth.
Our team shared their knowledge and experience on how to choose the right specialty after school, what opportunities open up and how to combine participation in international projects with studing.
