On May 25, 2021, the presentation of the educational program “Mathematical methods of modeling, pattern recognition and computer vision” of the second (master’s) level took place. The online webinar was attended by bachelor’s and master’s students.
During the webinar, the structure of the new educational program was covered by Professor of the Institute of Physics and Technology of NTUU “KPI”, Doctor of Technical Sciences Nataliia Kussul.
Potential employers were also invited to the webinar and told future masters about the prospects for the development and combination of science and business. In particular, Viktor Sdobnikov spoke about the use of machine learning algorithms to improve navigation systems at Apostera GmbH, where he is technical director and co-founder. Victor is also a co-author of the educational program and teaches at the Institute of Physics and Technology, so he is well versed in the issues of interest to students when choosing a specialty and higher education institution for further study.
Alexander Obednikov, SQUARD’s Director of Research, shared his company’s research topics and demonstrated to our future masters examples of the use of computer vision and in-depth learning to analyze video streams. Vitaly Goncharuk, founder and CEO of Augmented Pixels, Inc., demonstrated living examples of real-world 3D models, which are also obtained through artificial intelligence.
